Getting Started with PDF Merging

Step 1: Upload Your PDF Files

Start by uploading the PDF files you want to combine. You can drag and drop multiple files at once or click to browse your computer. The tool accepts up to 20 PDF files, each up to 100MB in size.

Once uploaded, you'll see each file listed with its size and page count. You can remove any files you don't want by clicking the X button next to them.

Step 2: Review and Arrange Files

The files will be merged in the order they appear in the list. The first file you upload will become the first pages of your merged PDF, and so on.

  • Files are automatically optimized to reduce size while maintaining quality
  • You can see the total page count and file sizes before merging
  • Add more files anytime by using the upload area at the top

The tool will automatically detect how many pages are in each document and show you the total.

Step 3: Start the Merge Process

When you're ready, click the "Merge PDFs" button. The tool will:

  • Analyze and optimize each PDF file for better performance
  • Combine all files into a single PDF document
  • Show you real-time progress as the merge happens
  • Provide a download link for your merged PDF

Processing time depends on the number of files and their sizes. Large files may take a few minutes.

Step 4: Download Your Merged PDF

Once the merge is complete, your browser will automatically download the merged PDF file. The file will be named "merged.pdf" by default.

  • The download starts automatically when processing finishes
  • You can rename the file after downloading if needed
  • Your original files remain unchanged on your computer
  • The merged file contains all pages from all uploaded PDFs

The tool clears your file list after successful download, so you can start fresh for your next merge.
